To stimulate students’ interest in ICT, the Government has commissioned the Hong Kong Association for Computer Education (HKACE) to organize IT Exploration Tours for secondary students during the International IT Fest 2017. A total of 45 half-day tours to various ICT facilities and enterprises will be organized. As a STEM promoting unit of HKUST, the Academy for Bright Future Young Engineers took a role to offer a half-day tour on 13th April for secondary school students in order to ignite their interests towards Information and communications technology.
We are pleased to invite ~forty F.2 to F.5 students and teachers from HKSKH Bishop Hall Secondary School to participate into the exploration day. Academy Fellow and HKUST Alumni, Mr. Peter Chung has provided an interesting IT Workshop for students on “Facebook Chatbot”. After that, students and teachers visited USEL Lab, Engineering Commons, Library and Lawn Area in the campus. Once again, taking a big group photo at the Sundial is always a good memory for most visitors indeed!
