On behalf of the Center for Global & Community Engagement (GCE) of The Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, we are writing to invite you and your students to participate in our upcoming Smart Car Workshop cum Remote Driving Experience which is organized by The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology with support of ExxonMobil Hong Kong Limited. This is a great opportunity for your students to learn about iSTEAM (inclusion, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) in this online activity.
3 Key Elements:
1. Micro:bit for Beginners
2. Little Smart Car Workshop
3. Remote Driving Experience
Teams will be given different tasks to complete on the racing track. They will have to do the problem solving and develop a particular strategy plan. Each team will have chances to run their Smart Car on track.
Smart Car Workshop cum Remote Driving Experience
Date: Sat, 31 October 2020
Time: 10:00 – 13:00 (3hr AM session) / 15:00 – 18:00 (3hr PM session)

Team Formation:
1. 3 students to form a team (with different ages, genders, backgrounds, religions and/or abilities)
2. max. 9 students per school
For those students who will join the above activities but are new to Micro:bit, they are welcome to register for this Micro:bit for Beginners (Optional) to get to know more about it.
